A woman prominently featured in a New York Times piece claiming she was sexually assaulted by Donald Trump thirty years ago appears to be running into real trouble with the truth. It turns out that businesswoman Jessica Leeds may have never been on an airplane with Donald Trump — on a commercial flight during which she says the New York businessman repeatedly groped her.
Trump has categorically denied Leeds’ explosive charge.
Both sides are scouring records to try to confirm whether Leeds and Trump ever sat next to each other in first class. As of now, the FAA cannot confirm her to have been on any passenger or crew manifest with Trump.
However, we can confirm that Jessica Leeds has been in a long-running property dispute with Donald Trump since at least 2007. Leeds, herself a millionaire, is quoted in the New York Daily News in 2007 complaining about Trump’s (then new) Rancho Palos Verdes Golf Course in California:
